Spring Brings Visible Change
"Letting go isn’t about losing; it’s about making space for the authentic you."
As the seasons change, so do we. There’s something about spring that invites us to take a deep breath, stretch into new possibilities, and shed what no longer serves us.
I’ve felt an energetic shift coming for months—long before the first flowers pushed through the thawing earth. Before Christmas, I could sense something stirring, though I didn’t yet understand its shape. Then, on December 31st, life brought a profound transformation. My husband’s oldest daughter, Lisa, passed away. On the same day, her maternal grandmother, Oma-Gabi, also left this world. Grief and transformation arrived hand in hand. Loss has a way of cracking us open, exposing what is true and what is ready to be released.
Amidst this, there were moments of joy. In early 2025, we traveled to the U.S. and spent a ski weekend with three of our four American daughters and nine of our fourteen grandchildren. It was a reminder that even in grief, love and connection remain. Being surrounded by love, laughter, and the crisp mountain air was a powerful contrast to the heaviness of grief. It reminded me that renewal doesn’t always come gently, but it does come. And renewal is exactly what this season calls for. With the Astrological New Year and the arrival of spring, nature itself is shedding, blooming, and awakening.
Now, another shift is unfolding. My husband has just moved to Accra, Ghana, for his work supporting West African nations in crisis management. I’ll visit him in April, and for this next year of my life, I again find myself living across three cities, in three countries, on three continents (last time was Beijing China the three years just before COVID-19); this time— Berlin, Germany; Loveland, Colorado, USA; and Accra, Ghana. My life is full of movement, and yet, I know that real transformation happens not in the miles traveled but in the spaces we create within ourselves.
Making Space for What’s Next
Just as spring calls us to clear out the old, I’ve been asking myself: How do I stay grounded while embracing change? What am I ready to release? What patterns, beliefs, and energies no longer serve me?
One of the ways I’m leaning into this transformation is through Biofield Tuning. I recently bought a set of tuning forks and signed up for a course to learn how to clear and heal my body’s energy field. This practice feels like the perfect companion to my ever-changing life—a way to ground myself no matter where I am in the world, a way of tunning this Life Coach Melody on the move. More than that, it’s something I can express through my life coaching practice, helping others navigate change with greater clarity and alignment. Stay tuned as my journey unfolds.
An Invitation to You
Change is always happening—sometimes slowly, like a river carving stone, and sometimes all at once, like a storm rearranging the landscape. Whether you’re feeling the pull of transformation or resisting it, know this: letting go isn’t about losing; it’s about making space for the authentic you.
So, as spring unfolds, I invite you to reflect:
🌿 What are you ready to release?
🌿 What new beginnings are waiting for you?
🌿 How can you create space for what truly matters?
Let’s step into this season with open hearts, clear energy, and the courage to embrace the new. I’d love to hear your thoughts—drop a comment or send me a message about what spring renewal means to you.
With love and transformation,
Melody
